Athlete's foot is an infection of the feet caused by fungus. Below are some home remedy you can use to cure it.

• Soak your feet in equal parts vinegar (white or apple cider) and water for fifteen minutes twice a day. Dry your feet thoroughly after each soak.

• Place your shoes out in the sun to kill any fungus that's inside them.
• If the infection has caused redness and cracks between the toes, the fungal infection may be compounded by a bacterial infection. Soak your feet once a day for 20 minutes in a solution of two capfuls Betadine (available over-the-counter at pharmacies) and one quart warm water (skip this remedy if you are pregnant, however). After the Betadine soak, dry your feet well, and apply antifungal medication.

• Massaging coconut oil into your feet each evening will boost your home remedy efforts.

• Keep your feet clean and dry.
• Use talcum or antifungal powder on your feet.

• Mix tea-tree oil with the same amount of olive oil and rub the combination into the affected area twice a day.

• Mix three parts tea-tree oil to one part aloe gel and rub this salve into the infected area twice a day. Give this treatment six to eight weeks to work.

• Make a massage oil by adding three drops of lavender oil to one teaspoon of carrier oil (any vegetable oil or skin lotion will do). Rub into the infected skin daily.

• Calendula has been valued for centuries as a topical treatment for wounds and skin conditions. This herbal healer is said to have both antifungal and anti-inflammatory powers. Rub calendula ointment, sold at health-food stores, on the affected areas, especially between your toes.

• Once a day, or twice, soak your feet in a water which has a handful of Epsom salt added to it. The Epsom salt acts as a drying agent.
• Eating a healthy diet probably with low sugar intake may help.
• At night, while asleep, keep your feet outside the blanket in order to keep your feet cool.
